Pretty in Pink
Although the week started off on a more quiet note, a few exciting events took place. On Monday, chatter filled the air as the first meeting about Shana bet was held in classroom one. Everyone was interested in what the teacher's; the "panel" had to say. Delicious homemade desserts by Leora were a great treat to those who attended. We should have these meetings more often...
We also had a spectacular speaker from YU, Professor Smadar Rosensweig, who filled our minds with new and insightful interpretations to motifs in the Tanach. To keep the fun going, on Wednesday the girls dressed in pink to show their support for Sharsheret and breast cancer. Sharsheret (chain) is a national non profit organization supporting young Jewish women and their families facing breast cancer. Wednesday was "Sharsheret Pink Day" and hundreds of schools around the world took part in order to raise awareness about breast cancer and Sharsheret's vital programs and services. We were very proud to show our support here in Israel at Midreshet. The pink filled our day with smiles and joy.
Shabbat Shalom!
