Another Unforgettable Week
It was another packed week in Midreshet. On Thursday we continued our tiyul in the North with a choice of one of two hikes- Nachal Yehudia or Nachal Zavitan. Although some girls got caught in the rain, we all had fun on our respective water hikes. Before returning to school, we finished the day with awesome rafting down the Jordan River. We are very thankful to the staff members and madrichot who took time away from their families and busy schedules to join us. They really enhanced our trip. Despite the fact that it was our last tiyul for the year, we got to connect and experience the land once more before heading back home.
After an out-Shabbos, we joined together with Am Yisrael to celebrate the renowned Yom Yerushalayim. Many girls went to the Kotel for singing and dancing Motzei Shabbos with our beloved madricha, Danielle, and also Sunday morning for a beautiful davening including Hallel. Sunday was one of the hottest but also most joyous days of the year. We danced and sang with thousands of Israelis and other yeshiva/seminary students in the streets of Jerusalem, celebrating the recapturing of the city 48 years ago. It was an unbelievable sight and a day we will never forget.
Lastly, in honor of Rosh Chodesh Sivan many girls went to the Kotel Tuesday morning for a special vatikin davening. Later that night, Rena Coren and our other female teachers led an inspirational Rosh Chodesh kumzitz filled with song, tefilot, and stories, preparing us for the upcoming chag - Shavuot. Overall, Midreshet had a busy yet exciting week taking in the final moments of the year!
