Short but Sweet
This was a short week in Midreshet. Our Madrichot Sara and Tzipporah took girls to selichot at the Kotel which was very inspiring and really set the mood for Rosh Hashanah. Many girls stayed in for Shabbos and it was a relaxing atmosphere where we were able to continue bonding, making new friends. Midreshet arranged for all the meals but some of the girls did some cooking anyway which really got them in to the Shabbat spirit. Despite the heat, it was a blast.
On Sunday girls departed to their hosts for Rosh Hashanah. Everyone enjoyed their chag whether traveling near or far.
Wednesday was Tzom Gedalya and we had a great morning of learning. Shana bet sold brownies for breaking fast in order to raise money for Shekel, their fundraising organization. It was a great way to break the fast.
Tonight many of us are going on a siyur slichot in the old city, a jammed packed event touring different selichot around the old city. We’ll being going to Migdal Oz next week for a very special selichot so stay tuned.
Although a quick week, it was packed with excitement and great learning for the upcoming chagim.
Wishing everyone a meaningful Yom Kippur and Gmar Chatima Tova.
