This past Shabbos, Shana Bet was taken on a beautiful and fun Shabbaton to Kochav Hashachar. With the help of the Anywhere in Israel founders, Rachel & Avi Nadel, we were each set up by different families and got to really experience the yeshuv life. On Friday night, some of the lovely ladies of the yeshuv spoke to us about how we can take the first steps to make real change in our lives, based on their past experiences. The next day, Avi Nadel took us on a tour of the yeshuv, pointing out historical events that took place in the Tanach. We then had the pleasure of hearing a both inspiring and eye-opening shiur from Rav Ari Shvat, who taught us why the whole world is so focused on the state of Israel and the Jewish people. We ended Shabbos with seudat shlishit at the Nadels, a beautiful slow shira, and a musical havdala - a perfect way to end the week and start a new year.

After a whole week of being together, it was hard for us to go our separate ways for Rosh Hashana. Still, we all had really meaningful tefillot, and its great spending the Yamim Noraim in Eretz Yisroel. We hope everyone has a Ktiva v’Chatima Tova!
