Yom Yerushalayim / Bridal Shower

On Tuesday, we had a unique opportunity to hear many renowned speakers. One of them was Rabbi Lord Dr. Jonathan Sacks who emphasised in his speech the importance of Yom Yerushalayim. This could not have been a more appropriate transition. On Tuesday night we davened and sang to celebrate this day.

On Wednesday morning, we had the honor of throwing a bridal shower for a Kallah involved in the G gush Katif bridal project. It was a tremendous opportunity to be mesameach a chasan and Kallah on a day already full of meaning.

During the shower, the Kallah reminisced about living in Gush Katif before the expulsion and showed us a video about her life there.

Later, we took part in the Yom Yerushalayim parade where we marched and danced through the streets of Yerushalayim and ended at the kotel. It was truly an experience to remember.
